2022 Reading Goals

Hi everyone!
Welcome to Nox Reads, I’m Nox, and one of my goals for 2022 is to use my blog more!

Yellow bubble text in the middle reads "2022 Bookish Goals" and yellow block letters on the bottom read "noxreads.com"

I finally revamped my blog to make it easier for me to actually edit on WordPress, so I plan to be way more active on it. I have a lot of content-related goals for the year, but it wasn’t until I put this together that I realized how many challenges/buddy reads/clubs that I want to join. 2021 was an okay reading year for me, but I don’t know why it just doesn’t feel memorable to me. Even when making the list for my Best Books of 2021 video (coming out Saturday), I know that I enjoyed them, but I didn’t really remember most of them until I went through my Storygraph. Hopefully all of these challenges help fix that for 2022.

  • Reading Goals
    • Read 122 books this year!
    • Read at least 24 nonfiction books.
    • Read at least one environmental/climate related book a month.
    • Get my Netgalley percentage up to at least 50%.
  • Blogging Goals
    • Post at least twice a month.
    • Post at least one book review.
    • Get at least twelve followers.
  • Channel Goals
    • Post at least twice a month.
    • Have at least one live a month.
    • Reach 300 subscribers by the end of the year.

Slightly related, but I’d really like to get to the point with my channel and blog where I feel comfortable pushing my Patreon and Ko-Fi more, especially after I move. I’m incredibly lucky to have been able to save for the move itself and have a bit of a security blanket, but being able to utilize Patreon and Ko-Fi would definitely help with that, as well as funds to make my content better.

I also wanted to participate in more book clubs and buddy reads! Here are the ones (other than Dethrone Buddy Read, which I co-run, and possibly another book club my friends and I might start):

And of course, there are some overall year-long reading challenges and readathons I want to participate in.

And Thursday’s post will talk more about Pondathon II, a year-long readathon hosted by The Quiet Pond! I can’t wait for y’all to meet my character Hope and her friend Doc, and it’s never too late to join the readathon! The side quests are amazing and I already love my garden!

With all of that said, let me know any goals you have for 2022 down below! It doesn’t have to be book-related. I’ll see you all Thursday!
